Our Story
Raquelitas started as a small family bakery in Denver’s Larimer Street in the 1940s, driven by a passion for authentic Mexican food and culture. Decades later, we remain a cornerstone of Colorado’s culinary landscape. From our early days handcrafting tamales and tortillas to today’s array of bold, chef-driven flavors, our journey is rooted in both heritage and relentless innovation. Our Processes
At Raquelitas, tradition meets precision. Our nixtamal corn tortillas are still stone-ground with Mexican lava stones, a process that dates back centuries, ensuring rich corn flavor and texture you simply can’t replicate with modern shortcuts. We use traditional techniques to bring out the depth of flavor in each batch, whether it's our flavored tortillas or classic corn and flour varieties. Everything is designed to maintain the integrity of the ingredients, creating tortillas that are unmatched in quality.
